Hello Villagers!
Last night I read a very touching story about a proud mother and her son from 2nd Battlion 8th Marines Golf Company who was deployed to southern Afghanistan last Spring. She made good use of her sleepless hours by sending supplies overseas to her son and his company. Once word got out what she was doing, donations came in, and came in, and came in. A total of 374 large packages over 6 1/2 months were shipped to troops overseas. The local post office dedicated 2 employees each Friday afternoon to process the packages.
It's stories like this which remind me of how villages help other villages. How significant even small gestures of kindness are, to propel a movement.
In this story I read a remarkable quote by Eleanor Roosevelt: "Lest I keep my complacent way I must remember somewhere out there a person died for me today. As long as there must be war, I ask and I must answer was I worth dying for?"

Our mission is to honor military heroes who have died for their country by generating name recognition, and be a champion for the courageous veterans who survived by generating funds and finding resources to support them as they cope with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

The inspiration to create Village to Village Foundation came when the news of a heroic act performed by SPC Ross A McGinnis United States Army, was first heard in December 2006. He is a young soldier who gave his life by using his body to cover a grenade; thereby saving four of his friends. Ross' unselfish and heroic action inspired founder Galynn Wilkins to create this non-profit organization, to carry Ross' message forward. We are all in this together!

WHAT IT IS
Initially, Village to Village Foundation began with establishing an endowment fund in Ross' honor. Endowments live forever, Ross will live forever to remind us of our connection to each other.
Then, a program called Pay A Good Deed Forward evolved. These two programs are designed to compliment each other, in an effort to:
1.) raise $1 million dollars or more to assist veterans diagnosed with
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and
2.) establish national name recognition for Ross A McGinnis and other fallen veterans.

Ross A McGinnis Fund - Help for veterans and their families needing assistance adapting back to home life. Veterans diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) need our help. Many veterans are returning from combat unable to cope with the tragedies they witnessed during their service. Feelings of intense fear, helplessness and horror interferes with their social, occupational, and emotional participation in their daily lives.
Your donations to the Ross A McGinnis Endowment Fund will help veterans through their recovery process, help continue Ross' unselfish care for others, and your donation will help Ross live forever!
Pay A Good Deed Forward (PAGDF)
We are looking for individuals or groups to sponsor fallen soldiers to start a Pay a Good Deed Forward Token program for them. You will experience a life time connection by being a villager helping another villager. Start a TOKEN program today for a fallen veteran. Go to Contact Us and send an email to let us know you are interested. You can either select your own veteran or we can help you locate a veteran who's family would like someone to sponsor their veteran.

The Village to Village Foundation (V2V) is a 501 (c) 3 organization meaning all contributions are fully tax deductible to the extent provided by law. We are managed by an all volunteer board with the help of all volunteer committees. By using all volunteers and seeking professionals whenever possible who desire to contribute their talents as donations, we are able to minimize our expenses. Our goal is to ensure your contribution will be used as efficiently as possible to accomplish the mission of V2V.
